Medical Coverage
M.A Ford Employees may choose between three medical plans through Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Iowa.
M.A. Ford also offers a Health Savings Account (HAS) for eligible employees who enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)
Dental Coverage
Our dental plan through Delta Dental of Iowa offers a range of dental care services, including no-cost preventative services.
Vision
Our vision plan through VSP provides annual eye examinations, plus coverage for conventional corrective lenses, contact lenses, and frames through a nationwide network
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
We offer both Health Care Reimbursement and Dependent Care FSA’s with an account credit card that allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible health care and dependent care expenses.
Disability Benefits
Both short term and long term disability benefits are provided at no cost to eligible employees.
Life Insurance
M.A. Ford provides basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage at no cost to eligible employees. Spouses and dependent children are also covered as under the benefit.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Employees and their families are covered under the Employee Assistance Program for personal counseling as well as referrals for financial and legal assistance.

Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
M.A. Ford is 100% employee-owned. Shares of stock are allocated to employees once a year through our ESOP, a qualified retriement plan.
401(k) Retirement Savings Plan:
In addition to our ESOP, employees are automatically enrolled in M.A. Ford's 401(k) plan on a pre-tax basis with a company matching benefit. Employees may also elect a post-tax basis (Roth IRA)
Holidays:
M.A. Ford provides 10 paid holidays per year. If you are a veteran, you receive veteran's day off unpaid. Full-time employees with 30 days of service are eligible.
DOL Apprentice Program:
M.A. Ford offers two and four year apprenticeship programs to become journeyman certified through the department of labor.
Shift Differential Policy:
M.A. Ford pays a shift premium to employees who work second and third shift. In addition, all employees on those shifts who maintain good attendance per the policy earn an additional four hours of vacation per moth upon completion of six months of service.
Vacation:
All employees accrue time off that is available to them and renewed on July 1st of each year. Vacation can be carried forward one year.
Personal Time:
All Employees are given five paid days at the start of each year to use as personal time. These days may be used as the employee sees fit.
